Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, a city of medieval temples, narrow lanes and craftsmen’s workshops. On arrival you’ll meet your local representative and be briefed on your upcoming itinerary. Overnight at Park Village Resort.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Spend the day exploring Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, namely Boudhanath – Asia’s biggest stupa – the riverside Pashupatinath Temple and Patan’s ancient Durbar Square. Overnight at Park Village Resort.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Bandipur

Head west to Bandipur, a ‘living museum’ that beautifully showcases the culture of the Newar people. The bazaar’s spectacular ridge-top location affords mesmerising Himalayan views. Overnight at Bandipur Mountain Resort.

Day 4: Bandipur to Pokhara

Travel further west to the lakeside city of Pokhara, which on clear mornings offers fabulous views of the Annapurna mountain range. On arrival the rest of the day is spent at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Barahi.

Day 5: Pokhara

Watch the sunrise over the Annapurna range from nearby Sarangkot before exploring Bindhyabasini Temple, the holy Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Devi’s Falls. Later, go boating on Phewa Tal. Overnight at Hotel Barahi.

Day 6: Pokhara to Lumbini

Venture south-west to Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. On arrival there’ll be enough time to explore the local market before spending the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at Buddha Maya Garden Hotel.

Day 7: Lumbini to Chitwan

Explore Maya Devi Temple, which is built on the exact spot where the Buddha was born, before discovering the Japanese-built World Peace Pagoda. Later, proceed east to Chitwan National Park. Overnight at Green Park Chitwan.

Day 8: Chitwan

Begin today by visiting Chitwan’s Elephant Breeding Centre. Later, take a canoe ride along the Rapti River – watching out for fish-eating crocodiles – before embarking on a thrilling elephant safari. Overnight at Green Park Chitwan.

Day 9: Chitwan to Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu ahead of your final night in Nepal. On arrival in the capital the rest of the day is spent at leisure, perhaps taking in more of its cultural and artistic heritage. Overnight at Park Village Resort.

Day 10: Kathmandu

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport ahead of your international return flight home.
