Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

Welcome to India’s mesmerising capital – a city of Mughal ruins, teeming bazaars and darting cycle rickshaws. On arrival, either relax at your hotel or venture out at your own pace. Overnight at The Palms.

Day 2: Delhi to Jodhpur

Fly to the ‘Blue City’ of Jodhpur and explore its bustling street markets, the marble memorial of Jaswant Thada and the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort – Rajasthan’s finest hilltop citadel. Overnight at Bal Samand Garden Retreat.

Day 3: Jodhpur to Salawas

The first day’s cycling leaves Jodhpur for Salawas – approximately 40 km to the south – via a series of charming local villages. Lunch is spent with a Rajasthani family before being shuttled back to Jodhpur. Overnight at Bal Samand Garden Retreat.

Day 4: Jodhpur to Ranakpur

Transfer to Pali before cycling 15 km south to Sodawas. Continue pedalling to Ranakpur and its 15th-century milk-white Jain temple – one of the faith’s main pilgrimage sites – where today’s journey culminates. Overnight at Mana Hotel.

Day 5: Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh

Transfer to Desuri before cycling the 40 km to Kumbhalgarh and its isolated 15th-century Rajput fort, admiring spectacular views of the Aravalli Hills en route. Later, shuttle back to Ranakpur. Overnight at Mana Hotel.

Day 6: Ranakpur to Jojawar

Cycle the 40 km north to Jojawar, a village close to the awe-inspiring Aravallis – a range whose peaks range from 300 to 900 metres in height. Overnight at Rawla Jojawar.

Day 7: Jojawar to Deogarh

Pedal through spectacular wooded hills to Deogargh, approximately 30 km to the east. Once under the control of Chundawat rajputs, their legacy is today felt at the 17th-century Deogarh Mahal palace. Overnight at Deogarh Mahal.

Day 8: Deogarh

Explore Deogarh’s surroundings on a 30 km-ride through some of Rajasthan’s best cycling trails, inclusive of picturesque hilly terrain and lakes teeming with native birdlife. Overnight at Deogarh Mahal.

Day 9: Deogarh to Udaipur

Transfer to Delwara before completing the journey south to Udaipur by bike. Perched beside the shimmering Lake Pichola and replete with white-washed havelis, this is perhaps India’s most romantic city. Overnight at Hotel Fateh Garh.

Day 10: Udaipur to Pipliya

Cycle for approximately 35 km through rugged terrain to until reaching the village of Pipliya, where there’ll be the chance to interact with local tribal people. Later, shuttle back to Udaipur for a Lake Pichola cruise. Overnight at Hotel Fateh Garh.

Day 11: Udaipur to Delhi

Transfer to Udaipur Airport for your onward connecting flight to Delhi
